TRAIL DES GOMBAK
INTRODUCTION
In conjunction with Visit Selangor Year 2025, Trail des Gombak (TDG) that enters its fourth episode will be part of Asia Trail Master (ATM) Championship and Grandmaster Quest. Besides Trail des Gombak, Trail des Fraser and Trail des Lenggeng will be part of the HIJO Trail Series 2025, scheduled on April 26-27 and November 29-30, 2025.
The TDG race will occur at Dewan Serbaguna JAKOA Bt 12, Gombak. The route of this race consists of jungle trails, river creeks, waterfalls, asphalt, rolling hills, and much more that Gombak can offer.
This year’s episode of TDG Gombak100 and Gombak50 categories offer points for ATM Championship ranking while Gombak100 qualify for the ATM Grandmaster Quest. Finishers of Gombak100 & Gombak 50 will get 100K & 50K UTMB Performance Index, and 4 & 2 ITRA Points.
Finishers of Gombak30 and Gombak15 will get UTMB Performance Index, and ITRA Points, respectively. No point for Gombak5.

ASIA TRAIL MASTER
Asia Trail Master (ATM) is an international trail running series that takes place across Asia. Founded in 2014, it hosts races in multiple countries, offering diverse and challenging terrains. The competition is open to both elite athletes and recreational runners, promoting the sport of trail running throughout the region.
ATM operates an annual championship where runners accumulate points based on their performance in individual races. The series uses a transparent points system, and the runner with the highest score at the end of the season is crowned the champion. There is also a “Grandmaster Quest,” where participants who complete six races of at least 70 km each within two years—one of which must be outside their home country—are honored in the Hall of Fame.
The series aims to foster a sense of community and connection with nature while promoting endurance and perseverance among its participants. The races, spread across stunning landscapes, test the runners’ limits, making Asia Trail Master one of the premier trail running circuits in the world.
The Trail des Gombak 2025 will be part of the 10th season of the Asia Trail Master (ATM) series, offering two significant race categories: 100 km and 50 km. This challenging trail event is held near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and promises a rugged experience for trail runners, featuring steep climbs, technical descents, and beautiful natural surroundings in the Gombak area.
The 100 km category is a flagship event, offering participants ATM Championship ranking points & Grandmaster Quest, 4 ITRA points, and UTMB performance index qualifications. Similarly, the 50 km race offers ATM Championship ranking points and provides 2 ITRA points. Both events feature significant elevation gain and will test participants’ endurance and trail-running skills. In addition to being a tough competition, the races form part of the HIJO Trail Series, where participants can accumulate points for overall rankings based on position, distance, time, and elevation.

Please collect your race kit during REPC hours. Uncollected race kit will be disposed of.
Mandatory gears check will be conducted during REPC and randomly along the race course.
Please always follow the instructions from event crew.
All baggage must be retrieved with race bib at the respective counters by 5.00pm (22 JUNE 2025) either by runner themselves or a representative. Any drop bags not collected after 6.00pm may be disposed of. The organiser will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to any item in the drop bag.

* Due to the proximity of TDG trails to cities and areas that are undergoing rapid development, there is a possibility that the route will change closer to the event date. Since the first episode, TDG’s path has never been the same, so expect few, if any, last-minute changes.

– By car, you can directly go to the race venue approx. 80 km (1 hour 17 minutes).
– By bus, you will stop at KL Sentral (1 hour and 7 minutes). Then take a Grab or taxi to the race venue, approx. 23 km (38 minutes).
– By ERL, you will stop at KL Sentral (28 minutes). Then take a Grab or taxi to the race venue, approx. 23 km (38 minutes).
